NBSTRN Survey on Candidate Conditions for Newborn Screening

There is concern that capacity in the U.S. for pilot studies of candidate newborn screening conditions is very limited while the number of conditions for which screening tests and treatments are becoming available is increasing. The Newborn Screening Translational Research Network () is a contract from NICHD/NIH that ACMG operates. Much of its work is in coordinating multistate pilot studies of conditions being added to NBS. NBSTRN is seeking your input on conditions that are at various levels of readiness for addition to newborn screening. Please respond on the conditions for which you have experience and expertise in the survey that is accessible through this link .

The Newborn Screening Translational Research Network (NBSTRN) is funded by a contract (No. HHSN275201800005C) to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) as one of the key components of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Hunter Kelly Newborn Screening Research Program.
