While all states require newborn screening for every baby, each state has different rules and regulations. In cooperation with the Association for Public Health Laboratories (APHL), the NBSTRN has collected specific information about each of the states’ newborn screening program and has compiled it here in one, easy to access, resource. In addition, each state participating in the Virtual Repository of Dried Blood Spots (VRDBS) has additional information about their newborn screening program and the data that is uploaded into the VRDBS to further assist researchers accessing the VRDBS.
